Shanghai Tower
The Shanghai Tower is a mega-tall skyscraper. With a height of 632 meters, it has replaced the status of Jin Mao Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center, and becomes the landmark of Shanghai. Currently, it is the second highest building in China, and the fourth highest building in the world. The appearance of the Shanghai Tower is spiral escalation, its opening of the surface goes through from the bottom to the top by rotation. Watching from the top, it looks like a guitar pick. The torsion resistance is near 1° as the height grows.
The total project area is 433,954 square meters and there are 118 floors in this building. The underground parking lot can contain 2000 vehicles. On November 29th, 2008, the construction work began, and its top-out happened on August 3rd, 2013. In mid-2015, the Shanghai Tower will open to the public.
